Memphis is considering firing head coach Tubby Smith and replacing him with Penny Hardaway, according to a report Tuesday by CBSSports.com.

Hardaway would target Larry Brown as an assistant coach were he to replace Smith, according to the report.


DeMar DeRozan scored 25 points, Jonas Valanciunas had 15 and the Toronto Raptors beat the Atlanta Hawks 106-90 .. Atlanta was outscored 30-13 in the fourth quarter…Toronto has won five straight..

McCaffrey immediately called 911 and then rushed with others in his group to help Smoker Sr., who at the hospital was determined to have suffered a broken femur, pelvis and neck, fractured ribs and internal bleeding on the brain.
